About Me

I'm Carmen Lara—an energy worker, photographer, and student of A Course in Miracles. In August 2022, I followed inner guidance and moved from Minneapolis to Spearfish, the place my heart calls home. My mission is to support deeper unity between humans and animals.

Through one-on-one sessions, local workshops, and online classes, I offer healing opportunities and help people connect more deeply with their animal companions. This work is about listening, remembering, and honoring the sacred relationship we share with all beings.

My journey with energy healing began in 2018, and in 2020 I became certified in Healing Touch for Animals. Today, I offer Akashic Records energy healing sessions for both animals and humans.

Photography has been with me since childhood. I see the world a little differently—faces in trees, mountains, and rocks often appear to me, and I’ve come to understand these as ancestors offering wisdom and healing. My photo cards and prints carry that energy forward, transmitting messages to those who feel called to receive them.

Alongside my partner, Gina, I also co-facilitate Akashic Records healing sessions. Together, we work under the name Blue Zulu Healing.

Whether I’m creating, teaching, or simply walking in nature, I find joy in all aspects of my work. Some of my greatest teachers are the animals in my life—especially my beloved companions, Lois and Guild.
